Logistics: What Schools Need to Know
We provide a Certificate of Insurance naming your school or school district as an additional insured — at no extra charge. Most schools require this. Just let us know when booking.
Each inflatable needs a dedicated 20-amp circuit. For large events with 4+ units, you will need multiple circuits or a generator. We can advise on power planning for your specific setup.
Our crew arrives 1–2 hours before your event to set up. For large school events with 4+ units, allow 2–3 hours. We handle all setup and takedown — your staff does not need to do anything.
We recommend 1 adult supervisor per inflatable. We will brief your staff on safety rules and capacity limits when we arrive.
Each obstacle course needs approximately 15×40 feet. Water slides need 20×30 feet. Plan your field layout in advance and share it with us when booking.

What inflatables are best for elementary school field day?
The most popular inflatables for elementary school field day are obstacle courses, dual-lane water slides, combo bounce houses, and interactive games like Wrecking Ball and Axe Throw. Obstacle courses are especially popular because they accommodate large groups and keep kids moving.
How many inflatables do I need for a school field day?
For most elementary schools with 200–500 students, we recommend 3–5 inflatables to keep wait times short. A typical setup includes 1–2 obstacle courses, 1 water slide or combo unit, and 1–2 interactive games. We can help you plan the right number based on your student count and event duration.
Does Wow Inflatables provide insurance certificates for school events?
Yes. We provide Certificates of Insurance (COI) for school events at no extra charge. We can name the school district or school as an additional insured. Just let us know when booking.
How far in advance should I book inflatables for school field day?
Book 4–6 weeks in advance for school field day events. School events are large and require more planning than typical birthday parties. We also need time to provide the COI and coordinate with your administration.
Can bounce houses be set up on a school parking lot?
Yes. We can set up on asphalt or concrete using sandbag anchoring. School parking lots work well for large events. We will need access to power outlets or can bring generators.
What is the age range for school field day inflatables?
Most of our inflatables are designed for ages 4–15. Obstacle courses and combo units work well for K–5 (ages 5–11). For middle schools, we recommend larger obstacle courses and interactive games. We can advise on age-appropriate units for your specific grade levels.
