Park events are some of our favorite setups at Wow Inflatables. More space, more kids, and a beautiful outdoor setting. But park rentals come with a few extra steps that backyard events do not — and knowing them ahead of time makes everything go smoothly.
We have set up bounce houses at parks throughout Macon, Warner Robins, Forsyth, McDonough, and across Middle Georgia for over 20 years. Here is what you need to know.
Step 1: Get a Park Permit
Most parks in Middle Georgia require a permit or reservation for commercial inflatable rentals. This is not just a formality — it protects you, the park, and the other visitors. Here is how to get one:
Call or visit your city or county parks department at least 2–3 weeks before your event. Ask specifically about commercial inflatable rentals — the rules are different from general park reservations.
Most parks require you to reserve a specific area. Pavilions with electrical hookups are ideal. Open fields work too, but you may need a generator.
Some parks require the rental company to be on an approved vendor list or to provide proof of insurance in advance. We are familiar with the requirements for most parks in our service area.
Always get your permit or reservation confirmation in writing. Our crew will need to see it on the day of the event.
Step 2: Get a Certificate of Insurance
Most parks require a Certificate of Insurance (COI) from the rental company. This document proves that Wow Inflatables carries liability insurance and names the park or city as an additional insured.
We Handle the COI — At No Extra Charge
When you book a park event with Wow Inflatables, just let us know the park name and the city or county that needs to be named on the certificate. We will provide the COI at no extra charge, typically within 1–2 business days.
Step 3: Plan for Power
This is where many park events run into trouble. Unlike backyard events, parks often do not have convenient power outlets near the setup area. Here is what to expect:
- Park pavilions with electrical hookups: You may be able to use the pavilion's outlets if the circuit is adequate (20 amps minimum). Confirm with the parks department.
- Open fields and picnic areas: Most do not have power. You will need a generator.
- Our blower cords reach 100 feet (50-foot cord + 50-foot extension). Beyond that, a generator is required.
- We offer generator rentals as an add-on. Just let us know your setup location when booking.
